This is a game we must win.   We lost the last 3 to Clemson.   That is embarrassing.

Jair Bolden must REALLY be in the doghouse, and Nathan Nelson must have had one heck of a week at practice.  So far, other than defensive rebounding we’ve looked pretty decent.  Still things to clean up, but looking pretty good!

Surprised by who is playing today.   Turning it over way too much and letting Clamson get too many offensive rebounds.   Very disjointed on offense.   Need to get the ball in the paint.   Hannibal is helping with that, but need to do it a lot more.

Turnover happy first half.  Trae Hannibal looking pretty good today.  Absolutely SHOCKED to see Nathan Nelson getting the court time he has gotten.  Can’t wait to hear Coach Martin after the game explaining why.  (Don’t get me wrong... I LOVE seeing him playing, and he’s been really aggressive defensively).  Bolden continues to underwhelm.  Need better interior play... bigs just not seeing the ball, and Kotsar with too much time up top with the ball.

2nd half to come!

Gamecocks starting the 2nd half strong.....or at least, a lot stronger than Clemson has started. A bit too many fouls, but that's a Frank Martin Gamecock team for you....need to keep taking advantage while Clemson's top scorer Simms is out with foul trouble.....

The Gamecocks MBB follow the WBB's lead by beating Clemson 67-54 and improves to 7-4 on the season, and sink the Tigers lower to their 4th consecutive loss. A little bit of yakking between CU's Tevin Mack and our Jair Bolden at the buzzer....the officials just have the teams forgo the handshake lineup, and send them off to their lockerroom exits.....

A.J. Lawson leads the Gamecocks with 20 pts and 6 rebounds. Maik Kotsar has a stout game with 11 pts and 7 team-leading boards, Bolden adds 10 pts, 3 boards, and 3 assists, and Alanzo Frink chips in 8 pts and 6 rebounds. Next game will come next Sunday versus defending national champions Virginia......

The first 30 minutes of play was nigh unwatchable from an offensive point of view.  The last 10 minutes was some really good offensive basketball...I wish that team that played the last ten minutes would show up more often.

The defensive effort was there today.  Our size wore them down to just perimeter shots.

Priceless, especially when the media guys said Frank told them he was disappointed that Dabo didn't make it to the game and he couldn't speak with him before the game.

A HUGE win!   Beat Clemson.   Won on the road.   Win number 7.   Should help our confidence.

A Taternet poster said Mack and Bolden were "having verbal words" at the end of the game and the refs sent both teams to their locker rooms.  LOL

Gotta love those Clemson academic standards.

I read elsewhere that after Clemson missed their final shot - a 3-pt. attempt - USC rebounded with 12 seconds left in the game, and Bolden was just dribbling the game clock out for the final few seconds, and Mack tried to take the ball away from him, and talking smack like it was his team that was up, instead of Bolden's....

Hot off the Taternet presses.

But have they been tested for any performance diminishing drugs yet?
