Men's Hoops Back In Action Friday Night​

COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina (2-0) is set to host Cleveland State (1-2) on Friday evening at Colonial Life Arena.  Tip time is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, with the contest set for broadcast on SEC Network+ with Burch Antley (play-by-play) and Carey Rich (analyst) on the call, as well as with Derek Scott (play-by-play) and Casey Manning (analyst) over the air on the Gamecock Radio Network.  The meeting between the Gamecocks and Vikings is only the second all-time, and the first since the 1980-81 campaign.

Gamecocks win over Cleveland State 90-63 to improve to 3-0 on the early season. Four Gamecocks finish with double-digit scoring, as A.J. Lawson leads the way with his career-high 28 points, Jair Bolden scores 12 pts, Wildens Leveque adds 12 pts in 11 minutes, and Alanzo Frink contributes a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Maik Kotsar leads the Gamecocks with 12 boards to go with 5 points.

The Gamecocks next take the court next Tuesday against Boston University......

I want to know what CFM said at halftime. He definitely lit a fire under their asses. 

The margin of victory was right around what I thought it would be, but I didn't think we'd put up 90. I was expecting more like a 70 to 75 points. I like it though, high scoring games are fun to watch.

Great win, but not exactly a great game. Did we score a bunch? Yes. BUT, we missed a whole bunch too. 26 Off rebounds means 26 missed shots. Them getting 31 def rebounds means we missed 57 shots. Just those 31 they got could have meant 62 more points. 

One big pro was all 14 players playing and 10 different players scoring. 34 points from the bench. That is always good. Boston U will be a little more competitive opponent but we should have no issue getting win #4.
