Gamecock report card vs TarHeels / Refection Sunday

Sept. 01, 2019

What can I say nice ride up to Charlotte, very nice digs yes!! But I thought I would be writing about a lopsided win by the Gamecocks. We all know that failed. Time to grade the Gamecocks’ performance or lack off (VIEW ARTICLE)

Thanks for the write-up, Feathered.

I have gone through many emotions since yesterday, mostly anger.  I had such high hopes for this season, and it seems like it's already over.

If, and it's a HUGE if, the ship can be righted, and the team and coaching staff can get serious about the season, this could be a good thing.  However, even as an eternal optimist, I am having a very hard time seeing a silver lining.

The thing that annoys me the most is, I know that next Saturday, I will be watching the Gamecocks, despite my disgust, despite my anger, despite my frustration, despite my enormous disappointment, because I love the Gamecocks, and like a masochist, I keep coming back for more.

Thank you, Gamecocks, may I have another?

The thing that disturbs me the most is that Champ has been saying this is the best team he has had. It appears that we just didn't show up yesterday. We couldn't stop the run. We couldn't pressure the qb. We couldn't  get off the field on 3rd down. The offense was offensive. We were predictable and made no adjustments at half time. Run up the middle for no yards then throw a short pass on third and long. Jake was ineffective and the linemen did not protect Jake very well.

I hope this was "just one of those days" and that we can turn it around quickly.

Through good times and bad times we need to stick behind Carolina program. The ship will be righted and going where it needs to be. If not Champ somebody will get it going like we all want to see.
