Gamecock tailback Rico Dowdle had one of his better statistical performances since 2016.  Dowdle and his backfield partner, Tavien Feaster, both seemed revitalized on the field one game after the worst showing of the year with a poor performance against Missouri week before. (VIEW ARTICLE)


 
Rico and Feaster are both really good RB's. I just wish we could see them together. Put them in an I, or a wing, or a veer. Just give one the ball and let the other block for him. I know you would see some big yardage and when the D puts 7 or 8 in the box, Ryan could keep it and pass. When you got 2 really good RB's, and Mon is pretty good to, why not put them both out there together? The only time I have seen this is when it was a designed keeper for Joyner. He never handed it off.

 
It's amazing at how the competition between these two very good RB's is bringing out the best in both of them.  Mon Denson is also running strong and although he does not get the carries the other two get in a game - Mon can still come in and you don't lose much with him in the game.  Coach Brown has really improved this area of our offense and for all of those out there that want to fire Coach Muschamp - all the way down to the water boy - this was a very good hire and we needed an improvement in this part of our offense.

 
Both Rico and Tavien are running with great vision and making great cuts.

It made the UK very exciting to watch from start to finish.

I hope they continue this the rest of our games.

 
I love how hard and physical they are running.  I’d like to see us stick with the run a little bit more even when teams are taking it away.  I think we can wear teams down.  A better defense would help us have the patience to do that.  Right now our play calling feels like we call games like we are playing from behind even when we aren’t.  

 
Per what Mr. Ed stated:  I also think we can wear a team down by the 3rd quarter (Of Course With Great O-Line Blocking) with these two awesome RB's.  If either one or both need a breather, then just send in Mon Denson and he is a hard - slam - hammer - type of runner who will give you those quality minutes you need to rest the other two.  I am not sure who we have after these three RB's, but maybe we have a 4th runner since Kevin Harris went down with a serious injury.  As all of you guys know a great running game can open your passing game and take it to another level.  Coach Brown is a very good RB Coach!!!!  Great hire by Coach Muschamp and Coach B-Mac!!!!

 
I agree we have some good backs that need to be featured more. I couldn't understand why at the start of the Mizzou game we kept calling pass plays over and over when we were pinned down near our own endzone. Run the damn ball. Especially since Hilinski was off that day.
