Gamecock may have just stunned the college football world and knocked off mighty Georgia on the road this past Saturday, but Las Vegas is keeping the Gamecocks as the underdogs for their next game against No. 9 Florida.

According to initial betting lines released Sunday by Circa Sports, the sportsbook considers USC a 7.5-point home underdog to the Gators.

if Hilinski is hurt or doesn't play there is no way we win this game. I just don't see it happening. Joyner is completely unable to run this offense. Defense will keep it close if they continue to improve.

I think 7.5 is about right. If we would have lost to UGA then the spread would be higher than 20, as it was for the dawgs and Bama. With the victory we have closed that gap by a large amount. Even with injuries to account for the line if actually favorable to us. Just my take...

Joyner has barely taken practice snaps at QB the past 2 weeks. He should perform better if he takes r he majority of the practice snaps this week.

sorry this kid cant make the reads. Wants to run first. He maybe talented. He just is not ready yet. Just my opinion.

Teams that are coming off a highly emotional win almost always underperform the next week.

Teams that are coming off a highly emotional loss usually over-perform the following week as their backs against the wall.

It’s hard to see this South Carolina team winning back to back games against top 10 opponents.

It’s hard to see Florida losing back to back games with a Dan Mullen coached team that’s becoming more and more dangerous every week.

The intangibles to me seem like a pretty lopsided defeat. The only thing that might trump this would be that we are a lot better than our record and Florida is a lot more overrated than their current record. Both could be true, but I’m approaching this one with a lot of apprehension.

Florida's defense is legit top 10 and Trask is better than Franks. I don't see our offense being able to score more than 17 on them. We will have to be pretty creative to move the ball, especially with a banged up Ryan or Dak having to take the reins. I expect them to stack the box and leave our receivers in man coverage. Edwards could have a big day if we can get him the ball. IMO it is going to take another heroic effort from our D to have a shot.

This is spot on. I’m not trying to be mr. negative or anything, but I agree with this post. I always hope the Gamecocks win but this is a realistic look at it.

Sorry, but I don't like all these negative comments about Joyner. He could have easily jumped in the transfer portal, but decided to stay (for now) and contribute. I hope he has a great performance and shows why he was so highly recruited.

I really like our chances against the gators. Vegas cannot quantify many of the factors in the college game as evidenced by us being 24+ point underdogs to uga. If our defense has found it's identity and plays to it's potential, I see another low scoring victory in the rain at Williams-Brice. Go Cocks!

And today, the refs made damn sure the Gators covered the spread. But then they did the same for Bama.

I too, thought the game was poorly officiated. However, I don't want to be one of those guys that gripes about the bad or missed calls. We hung in there for three quarters, but made a couple of mistakes that really cost us.
