Gamecocks are in a tough neighborhood

Here’s further proof of the tough neighborhood where USC chooses to live. The Gamecocks, who have 19 signees and unsigned commitment in junior college DL Jahkeem Green, are ranked 19th by Rivals. The class is 9th in the SEC but by Rivals, it would be the #3 class in the ACC behind Clemson and Florida State, the #3 class in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma and Texas, and the #4 class in the Big 10 following Michigan, Penn State, and Nebraska.
As for other rankings for Clemson and USC….247Sports Clemson 6th, USC 20th; 247 Sports composite Clemson 5th, USC 21st; ESPN Clemson 6th, USC 22nd.
