COLUMBIA — South Carolina will have wait until after this weekend to learn the kickoff time of its Nov. 12 contest at No. 10 Florida, which is one option for the league’s showcase game on CBS.
Will Muschamp’s return to the Swamp is one of five league games on Nov. 12 in a six-day hold pending the results of this weekend. Of that group, CBS will have first selection for its 3:30 p.m. game, followed by ESPN for its 7 p.m. window, then CBS for a noon kickoff, and SEC Network for its noon and 7:30 p.m. slots.
Other than USC at Florida, other SEC games on hold for that weekend include No. 15 LSU at Arkansas, No. 11 Auburn at Georgia, Kentucky at Tennessee, and Mississippi at No. 7 Texas A&M.
Only two SEC game times for that weekend have been set: Mississippi State at No. 1 Alabama at noon on ESPN, and Vanderbilt at Missouri at 3:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
Muschamp, USC’s first-year head coach, had the same job at Florida from 2011-2014. The Gamecocks (4-4, 2-4 SEC), winners of two straight games for the first time since 2014, host Missouri Saturday at 4 p.m. Florida (6-1, 4-1), current leaders in the SEC East, play at Arkansas at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
