Gamecocks could add another running back

Georgia Tech B-back C.J. Leggett could be a Gamecock, will be a walk on with a chance to earn a scholarship in 2018
Georgia Tech B-back C.J. Leggett was dismissed from the football team for a violation of team rules back in July.Leggett did not play in his first two seasons on campus, redshirting in 2014 and missing the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in spring practice.
Leggett was a highly regarded prospect coming out of North Gwinnett High in 2014. He came close to playing in 2014, but the production of B-backs Zach Laskey and Synjyn Days preserved his redshirt.
Leggett has three seasons of eligibility remaining. He could play immediately if he were to transfer to an FCS school. If he transferred to an FBS school, he would have to sit out another season and have two seasons left to play.
