Wide receiver Kiel Pollard has changed his commitment from Arkansas to South Carolina.
Pollard announced his decision Sunday.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound receiver from Moultrie, Ga., had been committed to the Razorbacks since September. He took his official to USC the weekend of Jan. 15.
“Coach Muschamp said he needs me in the program because I’m a winner. I’m used to working hard. I come from a great program, and I’m a special player,” Pollard said.
As a senior at Colquitt County High, Pollard caught 76 passes for 1,163 yards and 18 touchdowns. Pollard was the 6A Offensive Player of the Year in Georgia last season.
He said he likes the way he would be used in USC’s offense.
“I’ve got a chance to come in and play early and be special to this program and change it around,” he said. “They said I can play the outside or the inside, anywhere they need me I guess.”
Pollard is the 23rd commitment for the 2016 class and fourth wide receiver.
