This new-look Gamecock squad features eight new players (four transfers and four freshman) headlined by standout freshman forward Gregory “GG” Jackson II, the highest rated recruit in program history (recruit rankings started in early 2000s). He joined former Carolina standout PJ Dozier (2015-17) as the only five-star signees in program history.

This is the foundational stuff that matters. The lack of quality recruits is why we have sucked at MBB for so long. Then a fledgling HC brings one onboard his first year.

Stuff like this matters.

Then we play Clemson Friday night, rather in December when Frank was here.

I guess they bumped the game up on the schedule so far maybe to avoid the possibility of a Covid cancellation.

Clemson's pretty good. I guess we'll find out what we got pretty soon.
