Gamecocks hosting a pair of hoops visitors

The South Carolina basketball program is hosting a pair of Top 100 recruits on official visits beginning on Thursday, and one has already made it to campus.
Four-star guard Earl Timberlake (Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha Catholic) has already arrived on campus for what is his first ever visit to see the Gamecocks. The South Carolina coaching staff has scouted him heavily, led by assistant coach Bruce Shingler, for multiple years.
Three-star forward Matt Cross (Beverly, Mass./Woodstock Academy) will arrive early Thursday evening to begin his official visit with the Gamecocks. Cross, whose recruitment is being led by assistant coach Chuck Martin, was on campus earlier this year, and has already experienced some of what South Carolina has to offer.
