Asheville. Leota visited the Gamecocks earlier this summer and has had them ahead of Virginia Tech and North Carolina since then.
But before finalizing his plans, Leota wants to get back to Blacksburg and Chapel Hill. He does not plan to visit Columbia again or take any official visits before making his decision.
Leota confirmed Friday afternoon USC is still the leader and he is regular contact with the Gamecocks.
“I talked to them last night and basically everyday,” Leota said. “They just tell me to think about their school hard and they’re glad that they are the leader.”
Leota added that he does not have a commitment date in mind at this point.
