Gamecocks make top 10 list for DT recruit Darnell Jeffries

3-star defensive tackle recruit Darnell Jeffries listed the top 10 schools he’s considering on Twitter on Friday night, with four SEC schools making the cut.
Jeffries listed Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and LSU in the list of 10, which was given in no particular order.
“I am blessed and extremely thankful to all the schools that have taken the time to offer me the opportunity to not only play on the next level, but be a huge part of their families,” Jeffries wrote in the tweet. “After much prayer and consideration my family and I have decided that going forward we will be concentrating on these ten programs.”
Notre Dame, Ohio State, Louisville, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Oregon rounded out Jeffries’ list of 10.
Jeffries is a member of the Class of 2018, entering his final season at Newton High School in Covington, Ga. He is the No. 30 DT recruit in the class and the No. 40 Georgia recruit, according to 247sports’ composite rankings
