USC Monday offered junior LB[COLOR= rgb(178, 34, 34)] TJ Brunson[/COLOR] 6'1" 220lbs of Richland Northeast. The Gamecocks join NC State and Georgia Southern with offers for Brunson. Brunson attended the Gamecocks’ junior day Saturday where he was able to size them up and vice versa.
‘I’m excited about the offer,” Brunson said. “Their defense is very similar to ours and I can see myself playing in it and understanding what’s happening. The coaches made me feel at home and Coach Botkin and I are building a good relationship. I will go to a spring practice and I will take an official visit there my senior year.”
Brunson is also drawing interest from Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, Wake Forest, Purdue and Louisville.
Last season Brunson made 134 tackles and 4 sacks. He had 103 tackles and 2 sacks as a sophomore.
