S Nick Emmanwori (6-4 195) of Irmo has set July 1st at 6:00 PM for announcing his college decision. Emmanwori earned an offer from USC with his camp performance. He ran a 4.4 40-yard dash and had a broad jump of 10-8. The Gamecocks offered him before he left that day earlier this month. He returned to the campus with his family the following week for an unofficial visit. Charlotte, Georgia Southern and Richmond are his other offers. He visited Charlotte Sunday. Last season Emmanwori was in on 100 tackles with 8 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions.
USC target DT Felix Hixon (6-4 280) of Jackson, GA tweeted Tuesday that he will make his announcement on July 5. Hixon took an official visit to Virginia over the weekend. He also took officials to USC, Wisconsin, Illinois and Georgia Tech, and confirmed Tuesday that those are still his final 5. Hixon said Monday afternoon he has made his commitment decision. “The team I just feel like is best for me. The coaches, I have a great relationship. And I can see myself in the future doing great things and the coaching staff having me going to the next level from there".
Sumter DT Davin Jackson (6-2 260) took an official visit to Coastal Carolina last weekend and said he liked it a lot. He’s also taken an official visit to Syracuse. He camped at USC and earned an offer from the Gamecocks off that performance. He took an unofficial visit to Charlotte. He will take one to NC State July 25th and plans to return to USC for a cookout July 31st. He’s also hearing from Appalachian State. Jackson plans to drop a top six on July 4th. And he’s moved up his commitment day from September to end of July or early August.
DT Nick James of IMG Academy and Prattsville, AL Monday night tweeted what appears to be a top four of USC, Florida, Texas A&M and Ohio State. His tweet included pictures of him from each school with the question, “Where will it be?” James has also been considering LSU and Oregon. He took his official visit to USC last weekend. He plans to announce July 3rd.
WR Dane Key of Lexington, KY, who took an official visit to USC over the weekend. will return for another visit with the Gamecocks when they host Kentucky September 25th.
TE Oscar Delp of Cumming, GA said Tuesday night he plans to attend the Clemson cookout July 24th and the USC cookout July 31st. He said he plans to wait until after those visits before deciding.
LB Abdul Carter of Glenside, PA said Tuesday USC, Ole Miss and Penn State are top three. He’s taken officials to USC and Penn State and will take one to Ole Miss last week of July. He also went unofficially to Ole Miss and camped at Penn State & Ohio St.
USC is in the top five with RB Jaylon Glover of Lakeland, FL along with Utah, Georgia Tech, Florida and Florida State.
CB Nick Cull of Donalsonville, GA named a top 6 of USC, Florida, Miami, Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss.
USC target WR Jayden Gibson of Winter Park, FL will name a top seven on July 7th.
2023 OT Luke Montgomery (6-5 260) of Findlay, OH has Clemson and USC in his top twelve. The others are Michigan State, Oklahoma, Stanford, Ohio State, Tennessee, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Georgia, Michigan and Alabama.
