Gamecocks Release Women’s Hoops 2019-20 Schedule

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women's basketball head coach Dawn Staley released her team's 2019-20 schedule, which includes 15 regular-season home games and 13 games against 2019 NCAA Tournament teams, including reigning National Champion Baylor. (VIEW ARTICLE)

They're a great-looking bunch of kids.

I see a strong confidence in their picture.  Not overconfidence, but the kind that says they'll make whatever adjustments they need to in order to compete and win.

Some folks remarked earlier in the year that the Freshmen were very polished in their first pressers and I think it comes from the inner fire to be the best.

SEC Championship and Final Four team is what I am looking at.

I like that we play Miss State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M - all once, and all at home. They figure to be our 3 most obvious competitors for the conference title, by my reckoning....

The early non-conference schedule is fairly tough (@ Maryland) and finishes tougher with the Paradise Jam opponents. Hopefully our young girls acclimate themselves quickly.....

I'm hoping that this is the year that we actually make UConn work.  At this point I'm not even wishing for a win...simply show that we can match-up with them.

We will have a decent shot again this season.
