South Carolina continues to show interest in Gilbert running back Catriez Cook.
Gamecocks offensive coordinator Kurt Roper stopped by Gilbert on Monday and USC still is interested in Cook as a walk-on, according to Gilbert coach Chad Leaphart.
USC offered Cook a walk-on spot back in October.
RB Catriez Cook, 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, picked up an offer from South Carolina State on Wednesday and also has offers from Old Dominion, Newberry and Coffeyville Community College. This season, he rushed for 1,755 yards and 22 touchdowns and also caught 13 passes for 212 yards and four touchdowns.
Blythewood’s Adams picks up offer from Wake Forest
Blythewood quarterback Jordyn Adams picked up an offer from Wake Forest on Wednesday.
It’s Adams’ 14th offer, all at receiver. Both South Carolina and Clemson have offered Adams, and he attended Saturday’s South Carolina at Clemson matchup.
Adams threw for 2,350 yards and 24 touchdowns and also rushed for 793 yards and 11 TDs. 247Sports ranks Adams as the sixth ranked prospect in the state for the Class of 2018.
