Four class of 2015 South Carolina commitments are ranked in the latest Rivals250, down from nine in the network's previous release of the list.

Leading the way are:

... No. 85: Sherrod Pittman, LB, Jacksonville, Fla. (previously No. 79)

... No. 104: Mark Fields, DB, Cornelius, N.C. (previously 109)

... No. 119: Zack Bailey, OL, Summerville (also previously 119)

... No. 196: Octavis Johnson, DB, Homerville, Ga. (previously 185)

The Gamecocks had nine in the Rivals250 that was released in August.

Bluffton defensive end Shameik Blackshear, despite still being the highest-rated recruit in USC's class according to Rivals, is no longer listed in the Rivals250 (he was previously No. 58). Blackshear missed most of his senior season with an ACL tear.

Also dropping from the list were quarterback Lorenzo Nunez (previously 128), and wide receivers Jalen Christian (210) and Dexter Neal (241).

Offensive lineman Austin Clark was ranked for the Gamecocks in August but has since flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech. He is ranked No. 84 on the new Rivals250, down slightly from 82.

The Gamecocks are No. 7 in the current Rivals team recruiting rankings with 28 commitments. The class has been ranked as high as No. 2.

USC had four commitments on the final Rivals250 list for the 2014 signing class (Dante Sawyer, Bryson Allen-Williams, Dexter Wideman and Wesley Green).
