Gamecocks will get last shot with Rick Sandidge
December 14, 2017
South Carolina will get the last chance to make an impression with Rick Sandidge.
The Concord (NC) defensive lineman will visit USC last in his four official visits, according to Rivals’ Adam Friedman. Sandidge will visit Georgia on Jan. 12, North Carolina on Jan. 19, Michigan on Jan. 26 and then USC on Feb. 2. He will announce his choice Feb. 7.
The Gamecocks have been recruiting Sandidge, a four-star prospect, for a while and he said he has a great relationship with defensive line coach Lance Thompson.
“They have been recruiting me hard so that helps out a lot,” Sandidge said of the Gamecocks after Monday’s first practice for the Shrine Bowl. “I gave a great relationship with coach Thompson for about two and a half years and I am getting to know him more as a coach.”
The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder had 83 tackles and seven sacks during his senior season for Concord.
