The recent departures are worrisome, but there's a lot of interest in Shane's program right now.

That has to apply to both players and their parents as well.

We may end up making up for the transfers and then some when it's all said and done.

Yes, we may, and I hope we do. But we also may not and take a step backwards. Regardless it seems there is a problem, and I hope we honestly identify the problem and address it. It could be the players themselves (most seem to be Muschamp recruits), it could be the coaches, it could be NIL, reasons ad nauseum. Regardless, let's fix the issue whether it's localized or systemic.

My biggest beef with Coach Martin on the basketball side was the constant turnover of players seemed like every year we were starting from scratch and having to teach systems, I don't want this to be the same pattern in football.

Frank had a difficult system that was necessary to be competitive in the SEC and for a lot of guys it just wasn't their cup of tea.

Shane is legitimately trying to make us a CFP-level program and maybe that's not for everyone on the football team, either.

Maybe some similarities there, too, given how fractured the locker room was rumored to be when Shane took over.

The moon is cheese. I don't know.
