South Carolina just pulled off a nice win at home against Mississippi State and that came right after a game where they almost beat Georgia on the road. They still lost that game by 10 points but Georgia is one of the best teams in the country and really struggled to put up points on that South Carolina defense. Their offense is also starting to click now as they put up 37 points in their last game and Tennessee is not the team they were a year ago. This is a much weaker Tennessee team that already has a loss to Florida under their belt and even though they are at home for this game, South Carolina does have a good offense that will be able to go toe-to-toe with the Vols here. South Carolina has already been road-tested too with their 10-point loss in Georgia and they looked really good in that game. They may not win this game on the road either but they definitely have the offense and the defense to keep this a closer game.
