Trio of schools see Wyatt
Coaches from three schools have stopped by Towers High School (Decatur, Ga.) this month to check in on 3-star defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.
The former South Carolina commitment, who’s now committed to Georgia, saw Gamecocks assistants Lance Thompson and Bryan McClendon.
“They told me they’re going to always be trying to get me back to the Gamecocks. … I’ve still got a place to go, if I feel like it,” Wyatt said.
He added, “That means they’ve still got hope in me. They still believe in me.”
Georgia defensive line coach Tracy Rocker and Florida defensive line coach Chris Rumph have also been by the school to see Wyatt.
The No. 30-ranked defensive tackle in the Class of 2017 remembered his first visit to Georgia. He was asked why he flipped from Georgia to South Carolina in August, a couple of months after he committed to the Gamecocks.
“They told me they wanted me to work on my grades, to get a scholarship. … When they gave me the scholarship, I was just happy,” he said.
Wyatt has scheduled official visits to South Carolina and Georgia for January. He’s also planning to take officials to Alabama and Florida.
A decision will be finalized on signing day.

Jackson will continue to weigh his options as he gets closer to taking official visits to South Carolina and Indiana.
Report: Muschamp talks to Drake
