Interesting proposal, but not gonna happen. I have no issue with the college track vs professional track. However, there's just no real way to implement a draft for college football.

I agree, something needs to be tried. I would be willing to bet the percentage of college athletes benefitting from the current scenario is probably 5% or so, the balance are not getting any benefit. I like the the idea of deferred payment contingent upon graduation at the same school you enrolled in. It's only a matter of time before Title IX is invoked into this free-for-all and the whole system comes crashing down. As is, it's only a matter of time as to when the athletes will be re-classified as employees.
