Waiting to learn more if we ever will but until a couple months ago I had no issue with his leadership. It started with the Darla Moore situation and culminated with this past weekend. He certainly should have been held accountable and to a standard. Regardless it is petty and small to celebrate in the struggles of others.

I heard he resigned from the presidency at the University of California. At least that is where his resignation letter went.
What an embarrassment. I saw that Pastides will come back as Interim President until a new one is hired. Hope the hiring process goes better this time.

As I see it, this is primarily the fault of the Board. They took way to damn long to find a president before the selected General Caslen. I also think DM's hissy fit over not getting her butt kissed was petty and unjustified. The university and the Alumni Association keep track of alumni who have passed on, not their parents.
Cultivating donors and catering to the needs of people who give millions and millions of dollars to the university, and have whole schools named after them, should never result in what happened IMO. It's basic sales.
