He is the only candidate coming in that has any true idea what it would take to turn it around at Carolina. He is from SC, he has spent most of his adult life here. He is familiar with the pros and cons of our program and University. He will know it is not a quick fix and have an expectation of himself to succeed because he is a Carolina fan as he has stated to several people on several occasions. He has recruiting ties in SC,NC, and the other areas where we will intially have to get his players until we start winning consistently.
I will support whoever EH decides on but turning Carolina around is not going to be easy. You MUST have a coach who wants the job and not just a PAYCHECK! Frank wanted the job to stick it to Eddie Cameron @Duke and the crowd @ UNC. Spurrier wanted it for the challenge that it COULD be done. I think Marshall wants it for a myriad of reasons including showing people he can win @ a BCS school, he is Gameccock fan, and he WANTS to be THE ONE that turns it around here.
