Horn still with Vols; Weekend notes

November 13, 2017

DB Jaycee Horn of Alpharetta, GA remains unmoved from his Tennessee commitment despite the firing of head coach Butch Jones.  “Everything is still the same, I’m committed.  I’m still committed right now, nothing has changed,” Horn said Sunday night.  He did not go anywhere this past Saturday and might visit Tennessee this Saturday.  Horn said he talked to Jones Sunday.  “I just wished him the best.”  Horn said USC and Alabama will get official visits and he’s also looking at Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee for visits.

Among the players making unofficial visits to USC Saturday were OL Dylan Wonnum of  Atlanta; 2019 DL Howard Lee of Baldwin, FL;  2019 DB Quinton Newsome of Suwanee, GA; 2019 OL Jonathan Leech of Hoschton, GA; 2020 LB Antoine Sampah of Woodbridge, VA;  2020 DB Miles Brooks and 2020 DB Fred Davis of Jacksonville, both of whom received offers;  2020 RB Max McClendon, son of former Gator RB Willie McClendon and 2021 QB Ridge Jacobs whose grandfather player at USC, also of Jacksonville.

Spring Valley LB Channing Tindall ended up not going to any game Saturday.  His team won Friday night at Conway though he did not play due to an injury.  He’s expected to play this week against Fort Dorchester.

DB Divaad Wilson of Miami will take an official visit to Alabama this weekend. He has been to USC and is a Florida commit.

One time USC target DE Joe Boletepeli of Wake Forest, NC committed to NC State.
