I feel real good about our projected starters....Hampton and Auguste. It's quality depth that worries me. I had felt that we could absorb the loss of Alshon at WR. But Gilmore leaving early was the one I dreaded. Anyone know if Christian, Sanders and Legree look like they could step in and do the job? Is there anyone else this Spring who has looked like they could be relied on? I'd hate to think we would have to rely on a true freshman out of neccessity? Are any of the in-coming guys talented enough to step in?
I really, really believe that if we can execute at the Cornerback position this year, we will have a big year.
In a related note, it's a shame John Fulton did not come to Carolina. He is the 2nd string CB at Alabama, playing behind a Jr who came in this Spring from Junior College. The other starting CB there is a sophomore. If not this season, Fulton probably would have been the a projected starter in 2013 here at Carolina. I wish these kids would look beyond the glitzy name. Yes, Bama won the nc last season. Is that more important to a kid than playing time? If so, our in-state kids need to understand that they can come to Carolina, play in the best conference in the nation AND play with a rising power close to home. And they might just get playing time sooner, here
