Obviously a lot depends on the health of #21. But we saw last year that even with him healthy (Auburn,Vandy), our offense would struggle. Of course that was with Garcia. I think Shaw is a major upgrade, especially with his running ability.
My concern is that the combined losses of Alshon, Nunn, Watkins and Campbell will have us struggling early. I fully expect to hear that the offense is struggling against the defense in the pre-season. We have major question marks at OL (specifically LT) and WR.
I have heard lots of suggestions that we will feature the TE more this year; anyone want to guess what that means? More drag routes across the middle?
I guess my point is that it is slightly unrealistic to expect us to blow people out of the water early. New LT, new go-to receiver (Ace?) I do think the schedule sets up well. If we can beat Missourri, we should go into the UGA game (and the October meat grinder) undefeated, with all the players with plenty of game experience. It sure would be nice if one of the receivers pulled a Sidney Rice and showed out early and often (S. Jeffery, Brent, Roland?)
