I'm so beyond tired of the conference bowl tie-ins

This is one of the reasons the BCS sucks - it forces teams in conference A to play teams from conference B in the same damn bowls every year. Not to mention the 2 team rule. I miss the days when the bowls got to decide who they wanted and we had some variety.

What do some people want? The only southern bowls the SEC has no ties to are the Russell Athletic, Belk, GoDaddy.com, Beef O'Brady's, Armed Forces, Heart of Dallas, and Texas Bowls but we're taking the Belk from the old Big East in 2014. Heck, we took the Gator away from the ACC and then lost the Independence but got it right back a couple of years later. Do yall realize that if we were to take a step back in the next few years and go 7-5 we could end up in the Gator Bowl? The SEC is so coveted by the bowls that the Gator agreed to take the 6th pick from the SEC (usually 7th due to 2 in the BCS) just to get away from the Big East and the ACC. How many unranked 7-5 teams get to play on NYD in Florida?

If I'm going to Florida why would I want to go to the Russell Athletic or Beef O'Brady's Bowl instead of the Capital One or Outback? If I'm going to Texas why would I want to go to the Texas Bowl or Heart of Dallas Bowl when I could go to the Cotton? Does anyone really want to play Utah State in the Poinsettia Bowl? What about San Diego State in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl? What about Syracuse in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl? What about Kent State in the Little Caesar's Bowl?

The bottom line is, the SEC has FAR AND AWAY the best bowl lineup in the country with some of the best vacation destinations in the entire country! New Orleans, Tampa, Orlando are some of the top vacation spots in the entire US. People keep saying, "Tampa, again?" Well what bowls would you like to see the SEC add? Some people don't like the bowl tie ins but in all honesty, what bowls would we go to if we didn't have them? Do some of yall think we would take 25,000 people to the Sun Bowl or the Las Vegas Bowl?
