Injury report from Carolina calls
Nov. 03, 2022

This will be the last injury report before Kick-off vs Vanderbilt Saturday night. Thursday night on Carolina calls, Shane Beamer said the Gamecocks will have a player out, a few guys back into the fold, and one with a question mark heading into the game.

MarShawn Lloyd missed almost the entire second half against Missouri with a thigh contusion. Beamer said he’s doing “OK” and has progressed in practice. He mentioned they’ll see how he progresses as kickoff approaches.

Beamer mentioned Terrell Dawkins practiced this week but wasn’t feeling well and won’t play Saturday. The hope is he’ll play next Saturday. Devonni Reed is “full speed” ready to roll, along with Brad Johnson.

Ellis asked about safety Nick Emmanwori he did exit the game against Missouri, then returned to action. “he is doing great actually." Coach Beamer's replied.

Brad Johnson is expected to be back in action. He did not play against Missouri, because of a lower leg injury. Beamer said he “will be back” against Vanderbilt.

Christian Beal-Smith (foot) Beal is healthier than he was last week and that was part of the issue last week,” Beamer said. “He was a little banged up still and not 100 percent (against Missouri), and had been limited in practice some during the week. But he’s been great this week in practice. He looks good.”
