Defensive back Jaycee Horn of Alpharetta, Ga., who at one time had South Carolina as his favorite, says he no longer has a leader and will decide between the Gamecocks and Alabama on July 15.
“I feel like these schools give me the best opportunity of achieving my goals of being a professional football player one day,” he said Friday in Tweeting his plan to commit next month.
He had previously considered Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Ohio State and Wake Forest among the schools he was focused on.
Horn said he talks with the Gamecocks “almost every day. I’m still high on them and it’s a great situation going on there.”
Horn (6-0, 174) is the son of former NFL star receiver Joe Horn.
