Jack Mahoney done for the season

South Carolina baseball pitcher Jack Mahoney has suffered a torn UCL in his right arm and will need Tommy John surgery, which will end his season. Mahoney, who was removed from the game on Wednesday night in his start against North Florida, had an MRI on Thursday and received the results late Thursday afternoon.

Mahoney will miss the remainder of the season, all of fall practice and will at least be limited at the beginning of the 2022 campaign because of the injury.

Well that's terrible. Jack was a bright spot for the team - he and Will Sanders have been having excellent freshman seasons on the mound. Hopefully he heals fully and returns good as new, if not better next season.....
