2015 season wrap-up: Williams transferred to Grayson after earning first-team all-state honors as an “athlete” at Archer last season. He rushed for 1,339 yards and 23 touchdowns on offense, recorded 20 tackles, eight assists, two interceptions and nine pass break-ups on defense, and had 250 yards on kick returns. Williams is the consensus No. 8 cornerback recruit nationally.

What’s interesting: Williams got his first offer, from Georgia Tech, while a freshman at Dacula. He played his sophomore and junior seasons at Archer. He’s now at Grayson with four other high-profile transfers who have made the Rams perhaps the team to beat in Class AAAAAAA. Williams’ first name is pronounced (ja-MY-est).
