South Carolina is still checking in on a pair of defensive backs for the 2015 class that could come in and help at safety next year. Toure Boyd and Treston Decoud are the guys that Grady Brown is looking at but I believe they will take only one at this point. Brown is checking on both players' academics and should have know early next week.

Both players believe that they will be takes, but I'm not sure that is the case at this point. Brown's decision may be an easy one if admissions determines they can't take one of the players. Based on what I know about the transcripts, Boyd is the most likely candidate of the two to have ease of admission. We should know more on early next week with regard to which way South Carolina will go.

Brown spoke with Decoud on Friday morning and they tentatively have a visit set up for January 16. Decoud has a visit scheduled for Baylor (yet to offer) for January 30 and Louisiana-Lafayette on January 23. Decoud picked up offers from Houston and Oregon State on Friday though, so it won't be shocking if his visit schedule changes some.

Boyd has an official visit scheduled for South Carolina for January 23. Boyd is a more sure-fire bet to commit if he lands the offer. He has offers from Arizona, Southern Miss and others.

Both players are summer enrollees, if that's not clear.

Both are being recruited as safeties.

Here are his highlights from this year at Chaffey JC

Boyd is 6-1, 195.

Decoud is 6-3, 200. He's at NW Mississippi CC
