Junior college linebacker Da’Von Durant names a commitment target date

4 star LB Da’Von Durant 6'2" 240lbs of Butler JC, KS began his spring practice Monday. His spring game is set for May 9th. Soon after that, Durant plans to make a commitment. Right now he’s pointed towards USC and there’s doesn’t appear much can get in the Gamecocks’ way with the Greenwood native. ‘
Durant talked Monday with Gamecock recruiter and linebackers coach Kirk Botkin. “He was just pretty much keeping in touch,” Durant said. “Coach Botkin is the only one (recruiter) I talk to all the time. It’s South Carolina, definitely, right now. I’m pretty much set but I’m just waiting to see what comes. I’ll be 100% after spring ball.”
And Durant said his grades are good and not an issue with him moving forward with a decision.
He recently picked up offers from Utah State and Washington State and said Alabama has been “on me pretty hard.” Clemson has also offered but he’s not heard from recruiter Brent Venables in some time.
Durant also has offers from Ole Miss and NC State.
