3 star Junior DL Zeek Rodney (6-1 265) of South Pointe attended the USC-UAB game this past Saturday and liked what he saw. "They're a good program headed in the right direction," Rodney said. "Their defense played well and I like the way they play. I could see myself playing there." Rodney was unable to attend Clemson's home-opener due to illness but is also interested in the Tigers. "It's a good school with a great offense," he said. "I could see myself playing there too." The two schools are showing interest along with LSU, Alabama, East Carolina, Georgia and NC State. Rodney admitted his leader is Florida State though he has not heard from them. "I just grew up a fan," he said. "They have a great tradition on defense and have always had quick defensive linemen."
