There was another major development Friday with DE Arden Key of Atlanta. He was scheduled to visit Auburn this weekend but cancelled the visit because he was tired and didn’t want to take another trip according to his coach.
Also, Key met with LSU coaches for an extended period on Friday sending recruiting analysts into a tizzy. Now, some of them believe Key is LSU bound. As of last night, he still had USC #1. Of course, when it comes to Key’s recruiting, nothing is ever set in stone.
A source did tell us tonight that USC recruiter Lorenzo Ward was on the phone with Key Friday and the Gamecocks remain a factor.Key is still planning to announce his decision on Monday night’s Next Level program on Fox Sports South.
As for OL Christian Pellage, he has not yet made his public proclamation between USC and Florida, though he has been committed to the Gamecocks since August. He does plan to make that announcement tonight, time undetermined. He still looks to be headed to USC.
