Lateek Townsend Suspended by NCAA

. Clemson released a list of 10 secondary NCAA violations Friday, including a four-game suspension of linebacker Lateek Townsend.

The NCAA had determined Townsend received $2,327 in impermissible benefits while at Marlboro High School. Clemson has arranged a payment play for Townsend, who is in the process of paying back the money. The money will go to a local charity.

Yea they kept it real quiet leading up the season to say the least. More accurately is that they deceived everyone (Command Decision Cover-up) regarding his status - the tater talkers on their flagship radio station in the Upstate claimed even to not know until long after the season. They then proceeded to defend the decision to keep quiet about it. The fact that the local media, Greenville News, Anderson Independent, (should they retain their names?) tells you all you need to know about how they’re covered by media in this state.

Can you imagine what The State would do if they learned after the season we did the same thing these dirtbag taters did?
