COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier says Marcus Lattimore hasn't missed any practice time and expects the tailback to play this weekend despite his bruised hip.
The coach had said Lattimore would miss a couple of practices this week after being hurt in the Gamecocks' 23-21 loss at LSU last Saturday.
However, Spurrier said Tuesday Lattimore ran during Monday's practice and looked good.
The ninth-ranked Gamecocks (6-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) play at No. 3 Florida (6-0, 5-0) Saturday. South Carolina has won 12 straight games over SEC Eastern Division opponents, including the past two against Florida.
Lattimore rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns in South Carolina's victory at The Swamp two years ago. He missed last year's game with a knee injury, but Spurrier expects him to ready Saturday.
