4 star LB James David (6-3 230) of Rockdale, TX has received letters from USC but has not spoken with any coaches yet. David is interested in the Gamecocks and is considering visiting this summer. "I want to visit Miami and South Carolina," said David. "I've seen (USC) play on TV a bunch of times and they've gotten really good over the last three or four years. I like that. They can play with anyone in the country." David has offers from Baylor, Colorado, Wshington State, Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and TCU. "I've only really visited Baylor and Oklahoma State so I don't have any favorites," he said. "I want to get out and see more schools this summer so I know what I'm looking for." He did not name a date for a possible visit to Columbia.
