LB Rosendo Louis of Deerfield Beach, FL is set to announce a decision between USC and Florida State at 11:45 AM Wednesday.  He committed to the former FSU staff under Jimbo Fisher and did not decommit after the coaching change, yet USC kept up its efforts behind Will Muschamp and Travaris Robinson and had him in for an official visit last weekend, the last real chance to turn him from the Seminoles.  Tuesday night Louis said he had made his final decision.

“It was alright,” Louis said about his official visit to USC.  “Nothing really stood out because I had seen it all before.  Muschamp told me if I’m scared to be a true freshman, don’t come to South Carolina.  The same old, same old.  I can be a great leader  and have an impact there.  I can be a run stopper on first and second (down) and I can rush the quarterback on third and fourth.  I love the new dorms, how they’ve got it set up, and the facilities looked great as always.”

Last week Louis had his first meeting with new Florida State coach Willie Taggert who came into his home for a face to face sit down.

“It went good,” Louis said.  “He talked to me good.  Everything sounded good with him.  When I committed to Florida State, I loved the fans, how everywhere you go they know about you, and the coaches when Jimbo was there.  I didn’t meet the new coaches, I just me Coach Willie and I got a good feeling from him.  He couldn’t say much about I could fit in because he doesn’t have a defensive coordinator yet.”

Louis said making the final decision between the Gamecocks and Seminoles “was tough.  I sat down with my family and discussed it with them and see what they felt best.  I feel great about it.”
