Moore favoring USC after weekend visit

4 star LB Skai Moore 6'2" 210lbs of Fort Lauderdale made his official visit to USC over the weekend and now has the Gamecocks out in front ahead of Vanderbilt. "I was really shocked," he said. "I liked how the stadium was and the facilities, and the campus is beautiful. And Columbia itself is a great place. Everything was really nice." Moore spent most of his time with Jordan Diggs, Ahmad Christian and Chaz Elder. He knows the Gamecocks have a need at linebacker and that's big to him. "There's a great need at linebacker right now and if I go in there and do my job and learn the playbook, there's a possibility I could start against North Carolina," he said That really attracted me." Moore is also considering Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Tennessee. He will sit down with his family tonight to talk about where to go from here, but a decision is not far off. "I'm not making a decision tonight but we will eliminate some schools," he said. "We will figure out where we will go from here. I want to make a decision as soon as possible. I'm not going to prolong the process." Gamecock head coach Steve Spurrier and assistant Grady Brown are to meet with Moore Thursday. He's not sure if he will take an official visit anywhere this weekend.

Moore still working on decision

4 star LB Skai Moore 6'2" 210lbs of Fort Lauderdale remains undecided about his college destination though he has decided not to take any more visits his coach said Wednesday. "He's still working it out so there's no real action right now," coach Roger Harriott said. Moore now may wait until Signing Day before announcing. "It looks like that's what's going to happen," Harriott said. "He wasn't initially but his process got a little more confusing for him so he's going to wait it out. I think it's going to come right down to South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Rutgers." Vanderbilt and Rutgers have been in this week and USC recruiter Grady Brown is expected in this week. "He loves (South Carolina)," the coach said. "He loves the tradition and the whole atmosphere." Harriott said he doesn't get a sense of a favorite. "I think he's confused," he said. "He needs to make a decision with his family. I'm sure they will work it out." Signing Day activities at the school will begin at 9:45 AM.
