Gamecocks' leading tackler to miss game with Vols
South Carolina defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward announced after Thursday's practice that starting WILL linebacker Skai Moore will miss Saturday's game with Tennessee because of an ankle injury.
The swelling in Moore's ankle, which he injured during last Saturday's 42-35 loss at Auburn, has not gone down as the staff had hoped.
Moore has a team-leading 51 tackles this season for the Gamecocks. Sophomore Jonathan Walton will start in Moore's place at WILL linebacker.
Back-up safety Kadetrix Marcus also is out for the Tennessee game.
Kickoff between the Gamecocks and Vols is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The contest will be televised by the SEC Network.
