Dec. 17, 2019
Myrtle Beach quarterback and Mr. Football South Carolina 2019 joined SportsTalk, Monday. Doty, a Gamecocks commitment expected to sign with South Carolina, Wednesday, suffered a hand injury and isn’t able to participate in this week’s Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Doty addressed a number of topics including what he expects the Gamecocks offense to look like under new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, the transfer of Jake Bentley and how his running ability might be utilized in Columbia. If Doty’s commitment holds, he will become the third consecutive Mr. Football South Carolina to play for Will Muschamp, joining quarterback Dakereon Joyner (2017) and defensive lineman Zach Pickens (2018).
