Longtime Gamecocks commit confirms he will not sign Wednesday

South Carolina defensive line commitment Jahkeem Green confirmed he will not sign Wednesday.
Green, a native of Sumter, will not sign early because he had more academic work to complete and that remains the case. He has not taken his official visit to South Carolina. He took one to Tennessee last month.
His grades had been a question through parts of the recruituing process.
He’d been pledged to the Gamecocks since March. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman was considered a blue chip prospect.
In his second junior college season, Geene was third on his team with 67 tackles, plus seven for loss and 2 1/2 sacks.
That leaves South Carolina with the ability to sign four players on National Signing day. They currently have cornerback Shilo Sanders and offensive lineman William Rogers set to fill two of those spots.
