Major visit weekend in June takes shape

May 21, 2018

The next major South Carolina recruiting event is set for the first weekend in June and several significant 2019 prospects are set to attend.

Two of the expected guests are from the junior college level.

  • 4-star cornerback Elijah Blades (Arizona Western College)
  • 3-star tackle Anthony Whigan (Lackawanna Community College)
Four others from the Class of 2019 are also confirmed, but that doesn’t include 4-star cornerback Chris Steele (Bellflower, Calif.). Steele was previously reported as a guest for the weekend, but those plans haven’t been finalized.

  • 5-star defensive end Zacch Pickens (Anderson, S.C.)
  • 4-star defensive end Savion Jackson (Clayton, N.C.)
  • 4-star defensive end Joseph Anderson (Murfreesboro, Tenn.)
  • 3-star athlete Jammie Robinson (Cordele, Ga.)
South Carolina has hosted three official visitors so far this year, two of whom are committed to the Gamecocks: 4-star quarterback Ryan Hilinski (Orange, Calif.) and 3-star center Vincent Murphy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.). Three-star guard Jakai Moore (Nokesville, Va.) was the most recent official guest.
