Three of North Carolina’s leading prospects, all teammates at Charlotte’s Mallard Creek High School, will be in Columbia Thursday for a football recruiting visit at USC and to attend the Gamecocks’ basketball game that night against Georgia.
OL TJ Moore, OL Eric Douglas and WR Ryan Jones (a North Carolina commitment) all have USC offers. Moore and Douglas have made multiple visits to Columbia and both have had the Gamecocks high up on their lists.
Moore came out of his junior day visit in February with USC the big leader and was even talking commitment. Now, he has the Gamecocks and NC State even on his list.
“Me and Coach Elliott talk a lot,” Moore said. “I’ve been talking to Coach Muschamp a lot, too, over the past three weeks when I visited. He was talking about a lot. We have a very good relationship, me and Coach Muschamp and Coach Elliott. I’ve been talking to Coach (Cedric) Williams a lot, too. It’s going good.”
Moore also has offers from North Carolina, Kentucky, East Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland and Charlotte. He also has visited NC State, North Carolina and Florida. He was supposed to go to Kentucky this Saturday but since it’s his birthday, he’s going to stay home.
He said he wants to take at least two official visits before he makes his decision.
