Not again.
South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore exited the Gamecocks’ matchup with Tennessee taking a hit to his right leg late in the second quarter.
This injury comes after Lattimore suffered a left knee injury last season and missed the team's six remaining games. The injury required an offseason’s worth of rehab in order to return in time for the start of the 2012 season.
Lattimore, a junior, has racked up 2,599 career rushing yards for a 92.8 yards per game average while with South Carolina, and has 37 total rushing touchdowns.
Due to his status as one of the best running backs in college football, Lattimore’s injury has led to widespread reaction throughout the nation.
Here are tweets from fellow NCAA players and coaches, and players across the NFL, offering their support for the Gamecocks’ star. (more)
