If you get a chance, listen to the Locked On Gamecock podcast that Feathered has linked in another thread. There is a whole lot of speculation listed as for reasons, Lloyd may be unhappy. And I emphasize "speculation". Lloyd has not yet entered the transfer portal -- so we'll see if this goes anywhere.

I am so glad I did not book flights to the bowl...I was so tempted after beating Clemson...now we may have an entirely different team. I hate what the NIL has become but I get it from a legal standpoint and understand the need to cash in while you can...

I also see a day when this turns on the players and they start getting cut from teams when they do not perform. Business is business and they have embraced the ability to get paid, but make no mistake once you are paid the game changes. The bastardized version of NIL will have consequences.
