Getting this win will require playing better than we have played in our first four SEC games.   I think we can play better, but I'm not sure we can play well enough to win this game.  We'll have to make shots, including some FT.  We'll have to have fewer turnovers, and probably more rebounds than Ark..  Stay away from turnoves that allow Ark to turn them into fast break buckets.  Our backs are getting closer and closer to the wall.  A win tonight would sure help us.

Wow.  Have we looked awful in this second half.   Another loss.  Now 1-4 in the SEC.

A losing regular season SEC record and I think (and hope)  Frank will be dismissed.   That's 10 or more SEC losses.  That is inexcusable in Frank's 10 season.   Got to replace him if the team can't muster   at least 9 wins.  And I really don't see that happening now. They would have to go 9-5 the rest of the way.  I just don't think they are good enough to do that.   I wish I could see it.    Tanner needs to start thinking about a replacement now.  I don't mean hire anyone yet, just think about who he might want.   Sad.

We were out scored 42 - 19 the second half.  smh

IMO, we should have a much better team than this in any coach's tenth season on the job.  In year 10, we should be easily in the top half of the SEC.  We should even be in the discussion for an SEC title every two or three years.   But, sadly, we are not, and I don't think we will ever be under Frank.

I hate to say, but for the first time I can remember I have quit watching them.  I just don’t need the frustration.   Never have been a fair weather fan and kind of feel like one with this team, but they are too hard to watch.

I was tired from taking limbs to the street and just googled the halftime score at 40-33 and thought we had a chance.

Fell asleep and didn't check the score until this morning.  Oh, well.

They out-scored us 42-19 in the second half without making hitting any 3-pointers the entire game, which ended their 33 year streak of games with at least one made 3-pointer.

"Arkansas wins its third straight but had a 33-year-old streak end as the Razorbacks went 0-of-11 from 3-point range. Arkansas had made a 3-pointer in 1,092 consecutive games – dating back to Jan. 7, 1989 – which ranked as the third-longest such streak in the NCAA.

UNLV owns the longest 3-point streak, making a 3-pointer in 1,144 straight games. UNLV and Princeton (974-game streak) are the only two teams in the NCAA to make a 3-pointer in every game they have played since the 3-point rule was added for the 1986-87 season. Duke has the second-longest streak at 1,130 games while Western Kentucky now has the third-longest streak at 1,087 games.

The last time Arkansas did not make a 3-pointer was going 0-of-2 in a win over Texas on Jan. 7, 1989.

Ironically, Arkansas made a 3-pointer in its 1,000th straight game at South Carolina on Feb. 9, 2019 when Mason Jones made one at 18:43 mark of the first half."

I expected the Hogs to kill us with 3-pointers if they beat us, but not like this.

I still believe this is a good team, but that doesn't reconcile with this box score.

My only comment at this point is that the team found a way to win while Jermaine and Keyshawn were out of the line-up for a while, but having them back in the games has screwed the chemistry and timing up.

Both have had their moments, but neither one of them has really panned-out to expectations.  They have played okay during their time here, but Frank may have to make a break with his loyalty to them to get more wins and save his job.

I just feel like we play better without Keyshawn and Jermaine in the line-up at this point and Frank needs to work on making the rest of the team better without them because they should have known how to anchor this team along time ago.

If Leveque, Stevenson, and Bryant score their expected number of points, we have a shot at winning this game.  Wildens only had 3 rebounds in his limited minutes and Gray had 11.

ARK had 42 points in the paint versus our 22; this should not be happening at the midpoint of the season.

ARK had 42 points in the paint versus our 22; this should not be happening at the midpoint of the season.
Another issue is Stevenson, the last couple of games teams have made a concerted effort to stop his scoring.  It was clear what Arky's plan was on defense.  They kept a player on Stevenson all game long.  He's simply not a good ball handler and turned the ball over numerous times and or caused him to take shots when he wasn't set.  He's a great set shooter but not a jump shooter.

Teams rightly assume that stopping Stevenson is the key to beating us because if you're looking at our roster who scares you?  Exactly, no one.

They also said on 107.5 the other day that it may have gotten to the point that other teams know they can get in our head pretty quickly.

We are missing that one superlative player that consistently gives you a chance to win most of the time.

I thought with this particular group of players that we might avoid the historic losing skid that Frank's teams have been known for in recent years, but I don't know.

I still may go to a couple of home games to support the team, though.  Maybe just to get out of the house and watch one or two of Frank's last games here.

I'll go back to what I said much earlier in the season... our bigs need a better coach working with them.  That's one piece of the puzzle that is missing... consistent play from the big men on this year's squad.  Leveque pulls disappearing acts regularly.  And until the Arky game, Gray has been MIA.  Woodley is probably the most consistent overall, but he's not giving us much in the way of scoring.  Just look at the statistics... for the most part (with the exception of a game or two here and there) our bigs are playing quite tentatively around the basket.  Rebounding is simply adequate.  PPG averages are terrible.  Hustle to get back is pretty abysmal.

To me, it all boils down to a need for a new assistant coach at that position.  But I beat that drum before and it didn't get much response here in the forum.

All I have to say is... Frank Martin, it was great knowing you.  This season appears to be the end of the line.  I hope that you stick around Columbia and continue working in the community... you're a good man.  Just not (apparently) the right man for the job at USC any more.

Good points all, I also believe we shuffle too many players in and out and they don't get a chance to mesh.  And again before anyone bashes me I was thrilled when Frank was hired and I have supported him wholeheartedly.

IMHO Frank's doing himself no favors with the way he conducts himself at games.  His constant screaming and death stares are way over the line.  I say that in the context that I was in the Army for 24 years and except for Basic Training was never screamed at like Frank does his players nor would I have ever screamed at my soldiers the way Frank does his players.

The guys may feel like if they screw up they're going to get quickly yanked out of the game (which happens frequently with Frank) and get embarrassed in front of family, friends, fans, and teammates.  They may be playing too tight like Jack Leggett's clemson baseball teams were famous for doing.
